Indo-Armenian Friendship NGO's Co-Founder and President Mr Rananjay Anand called upon Sri Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, President of

Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), at his office in New Delhi. Mr Anand was accompanied by Mr Sumit Singh, former Executive Director and CEO of Lok Sabha Television, an Indian cable television network channel from Government of India that offers coverage of central government proceedings and other public affairs programming.


A Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha (Upper House of Indian Parliament) from Maharashtra, representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) since July 2016, Dr Vinay Sahasrabuddhe is a nationalist social-political worker, a researcher of political science and trainer in democracy by profession and an acclaimed intellectual. Dr Sahasrabuddhe is a post-Graduate in English Literature and a PhD in Political Science, both from the University of Mumbai. A long-time member of the BJP, he currently serves as the ruling party's National Vice President.Since 2017, Dr Sahasrabuddhe is also the President at Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).


As Party VP, he is In-Charge of the Good Governance, Central and State Government Program Coordination and Policy Research Departments of the Bharatiya Janata Party, besides being the organisational In-Charge of BJP unit of the state of Madhya Pradesh. On the Policy Research front, Dr Sahasrabuddhe also is the Hon. Director of the Public Policy Research Centre (PPRC), a well-known and respected Think Tank based out of New Delhi. Besides, Dr Sahasrabuddhe is currently also the Vice President at Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini (RMP) a unique institution of which he was the Director-General for over two decades. RMQP which is one of its kind research and training academy for elected representatives and social workers.


One of the many caps that Dr Sahasrabuddhe wears, is that of the Vice President of Indian Social Responsibility Network ( ISRN), a Delhi based organisation.Dr Sahasrabuddhe is also a respected author of several books and articles, as well as an occasional columnist. He is also been awarded by the Government for his literary contributions.


During the brief but productive meeting, IAF President Mr Rananjay Anand briefed Dr Sahasrabuddhe about the various activities of the Indo-Armenian Friendship NGO and updated him on the numerous projects successfully completed by us during the past few years since our establishment. Dr Sahasrabuddhe was pleased to know that an Indian Cultural Center has also been opened in Armenia through our efforts and was briefed about the future plans of expanding its operations and activities.


Considering that the ICCR is regarded as India’s Premier Soft Power promotion establishment, Mr Rananjay Anand also appealed for continuous support and assistance for our future activities. Dr Sahasrabuddhe positive response about the same was encouraging. Mr Anand also presented Dr Sahasrabuddhe with the journal, "India: New Vision, New Vigour". jointly compiled and published by the Embassy of India in Armenia and Indo-Armenian Friendship NGO and invited him to visit Armenia.
