IAF signs MOU with Armenian Public School named after Arshavir Shavarshyan
On February 21, 2023, Indo-Armenian Friendship NGO (IAF) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Armenian Public School (No 40) named after Armenian pedagogue, professor Arshavir Shavarshyan.
Our joint Secretary Mr Karen Mkrtchyan signed the MOU on behalf of IAF while the other side was represented by the school's Principal Mrs Liana Muradyan.
Under the aegis of MoU, both sides will organize a host of Indian and Armenian cultural activities in the realm of Music, Dance, Theatre, Literature, etc. IAF will collaborate with the school to introduce the pupils to the rich cultural heritage of India through s series of educational programs and events.
A few members of the Indian community in Yerevan, including Dipali Shah, Deepika Gohil, Upasna Dutt and Jiten Brahmat joined the delegation to the school, along with Indian Cultural Center's office manager Roza Navoyan and the center's Hindi Teacher Gayane Najaryan. During the visit, team IAF interacted with some of the pupils and gave a brief history of our organisation and the various activities organized by us during the past 12 years.
Thanks to our Indian members, some of the kids and the teaching staff got a chance to taste Indian tea and enjoyed a authentic Indian snack. The school had also prepared Armenian delicacies for our members.
The signing of the MOU is a part of Indo-Armenian Friendship NGO's decade-long plan to establish new partnerships, especially with educational and cultural organisations. We look forward to conducting several exciting programs with the school, details of which will be duly posted on our website and social media platforms.
Long Live India-Armenia Friendship.
