On the 11th of March 2021, the students of Yerevan State Medical University, members of the Indian Community of Armenia, Armenian friends of India, representatives of the Indo-Armenian Friendship NGO gathered at the Indian Cultural Centre. Armenia to mark Maha Shivratri and pay respect to one of the most important and celebrated Gods of Hinduism, Lord Shiva.The program was organised with the initiative of the Indian students with the support of the Indian Cultural Centre. With welcome speeches, ceremonial lighting of the lamp, historical ovierview of Maha Shivratri celebration and special Maha Shivratri aarti, the mood at the centre was electric. We had managed to create a little India for ourselves where each person could easily feel as if they were in India.
