Honorary Consul of Denmark in Armenia & Managing Partner of Grant Thornton visits ICC

On the 3rd of August 20201, Mr Gagik Gyulbudaghyan, Chairman of the Board of Governors at Grant Thornton Armenia and the Honorary Consul of Denmark in Armenia visited paid a visit to the Indian Cultural Centre. Mr Gagik Gyulbudaghyan also serves in his capacity as the Vice President and Treasurer of the American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia (AMCHAM).

During the visit, Mr Gyulbudaghyan held talks with Co-Founder and President of Indo-Armenian Friendship NGO Mr Rananjay Anand on various matters of mutual interest.

Mr Gyulbudaghyan briefed Mr Anand about Grant Thornton international and the various avenues and industries the organization is involved in. Grant Thornton is one of the leading audit and advisory firms in the world with a spanning presence of over 140 countries, including Armenia and India.

Earlier this year, the Indian Ambassador to Iran Gaddam Dharmendra informed that India has plans to connect Iran's Chabahar port and the Indian Ocean with Eurasia and Helsinki. The territory of Armenia was chosen by India as route to create an International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC),

Additionally, Armenia is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union. With Iran's possible membership bid and India's interest in working with the EEU, trade and business collaboration between Armenia and India can flourish.

This gives immense opportunity for organisations in both countries to forge partnerships for a prosperous future.

On his part, Mr Anand briefed Mr Gyulbudaghyan on the history of the organization and on the various projects in the pipeline.
