IAF President accompanies ICCR President to Aknalich, the world's largest Yezidi temple sight





On the 17th of August 2021, upon the invitation of President of the Yezidi National Union Mr Khdr Hajoyan, President of Indo-Armenian Friendship NGO Mr Rananjay Anand accompanied Dr Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, President of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Member of the Indian Parliament, as well as HE Kishan Dan Dewal, Ambassador of India to Armenia and Georgia to Aknalich, the religious center of Yazidis in Armenia.



The representative of the Yezidi community in Armenia to the National Assembly, MP Mr Rustam Bakoyan, President of the Yezidi National Union Mr Khdr Hajoyan and Yazidi religious leaders received the guest upon their arrival.



During the visit, the guests laid flowers to the monument dedicated to the Yazidi Genocide of 2014. Respects were also paid at the monument built in the memory of the victims of the Genocide of Armenians and Yazidis in 1915 under the Ottoman Empire.
