For the Second time this year, Indo-Armenian Friendship NGO's Co-Founder and President Mr Rananjay Anand called upon Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, President of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), at his office in New Delhi. Mr Anand was accompanied by Mr Sumit Singh, former Executive Director and CEO of Lok Sabha Television, an Indian cable television network channel from Government of India that offers coverage of central government proceedings and other public affairs programming.
One of the many caps that Dr Sahasrabuddhe wears, is that of the Vice President of Indian Social Responsibility Network ( ISRN), a Delhi based organisation.Dr Sahasrabuddhe is also a respected author of several books and articles, as well as an occasional columnist. He is also been awarded by the Government for his literary contributions.
During the brief but productive meeting, IAF President Mr Rananjay Anand briefed Dr Sahasrabuddhe about the various activities of the Indo-Armenian Friendship NGO and updated him on the numerous projects successfully completed by us during the past few years since our establishment. Dr Sahasrabuddhe was pleased to know that an Indian Cultural Center Armenia has also been opened in Armenia through our efforts and was briefed about the future plans of expanding its operations and activities.
The meeting came at an important time when Armenia was going through a difficult phase due to the highly militarized conflict with Azerbaijan in Artsakh (Nagorno Kharabagah). The IAF President briefed Dr Sahasrabuddhe on the various steps taken by our organization in helping the affected families especially children through our cultural activities. The ICCR President, on his end, expressed his genuine concern for peace in Armenia and send his well-wishes to the affected families.
Mr Anand also presented Dr Sahasrabuddhe with the journal, “10 YEARS TOGETHER: IAF IN ACTION”, a publication about completing 10 years of our continuous work and service towards improving Indo-Armenian ties.
On behalf of the Indo-Armenian Friendship NGO, we thank Dr Sahasrabuddhe for taking time out of his busy schedule to host our President and for his encouragement and support extended to our organisation. We look forward to hosting him in Armenia at his earliest convenience. Our appreciations also go to Mr Sumit Singh for his generous support and for accompanying our President to ICCR.
Long live Indo-Armenian Friendship.
